Girl date with Ms Berry to @cafebaristafl

I don’t think I’ve had waffles as amazing as these ever. I got the cinnamon pecan waffles, which were an absolute delight. The cream cheese drizzle sent me.

We’ve got some exciting stuff coming this fall so stay tuned

Whats for lunch? @food52 Miso Mushroom Pasta! Seco Whats for lunch? @food52 Miso Mushroom Pasta! Second time this week. It’s that good.

I subbed the heavy cream with cashew cream cause I’m in my 30s and dairy has forsaken me. I also subbed the pasta with shirataki to shave off some calories, but shirataki noodles are well matched for sauce - centric dishes anyway!

Fun in NYC! Fun in NYC!
I’ve been wanting to go since it opened and it’s finally gotten to the point where you can get reservations! Sure it was 4:30 on a Wednesday but we got to eat, right??

Loved the vibes, food was good but surprisingly minimalist, and that toffee pudding….. holy crap did it steal the show. 🤤🤤

I would literally go back just to enjoy the wine and dessert.

Friday Night at @vialecambridge. We did the $45 3 Friday Night at @vialecambridge. We did the $45 3 course meal plus $1 oysters (4pm-7pm). What an amazing experience.

Viale has a wonderfully casual vibe but food that would make even some of the fanciest spots jealous.

The courses were perfectly portioned, so even with the three plus oysters and drinks we left feeling satisfied but not bloated.

Blog post with more pics coming very soon!

Before finding an amazing ramen shop nearby, my go Before finding an amazing ramen shop nearby, my go-to cold weather hangout was #shabu.

I lived down the street from Shabu Zen when i first moved to Boston so this spot has been a forever favorite.

Lots of great memories and warm feels and healing moments from the broth.

🍜What's the best ramen in Boston?🍜 Now that 🍜What's the best ramen in Boston?🍜

Now that the winter has settled in, nothing beats the cold like a hot bowl of ramen or noodles.

Boston metro has a plethora of great spots to try, so I've compiled a list of my five favs so far, all accessible by public transit.

This list is by no means done, either, so stay tuned for a part two!

🧁What’s your favorite cupcake flavor? I’v 🧁What’s your favorite cupcake flavor?

I’ve got a major love of baked goods and nothing does the trick to kick a craving like a cupcake.

There are lots of great spots, and @georgetowncupcake on Newbury Street is one of my favs. Every day has a new selection and you can find options for different allergies or food preferences as well!

Have you been here yet? What’s you get?
Couldn’t opt out of outside adventures yesterday Couldn’t opt out of outside adventures yesterday, with the amazing weather we had. So we did the Beacon St. circuit and ended up at @timeoutmarketboston for dinner.

A perfect end to a wonderful day, I splurged a bit on the Fall #sangria, cause I’m thinking this may be at the end of its life fairly shortly.

On that note I’m also super stoked to check out the Taste of Time Out soon! Not that I haven’t tried almost everything here, lol. I’m so glad it’s open again!

I’ve recently rebranded and revived my food blog to visit and review local Boston food spots! I think it’s so important to boost our local small businesses who’ve all taken a huge hit because of the pandemic!⁣

This week I’m highlighting @thebittersweetshoppeonnewbury, one of my favorite hidden gems of Back Bay.⁣

So I’ve been using the #lockdown2020 time to exp So I’ve been using the #lockdown2020 time to experiment with transitioning to a more plant-based diet. A lot of my throwback posts will still have meat, as a warning, but so far it’s been really fun playing with recipes and getting the hang of adapting my cooking styles.

So here I made Mongolian “beef”, subbing in both tofu and tempeh for the meat. It was a riot because this is the first time I struggled with translating a cooking technique (powdering the meat with starch to get that thick crispy outside and thick sauce). The tofu ultimately won this one, deep fried tempeh in starch was.... a choice.

The sauce still thickened great though so, I’ll def be trying this again!!
For Christmas dinner I snagged a delicious roast f For Christmas dinner I snagged a delicious roast from @traderjoes. It was so simple and easy to make - literally just olive oil, salt, and pepper. I also stuck in a few cloves of garlic because... well, garlic lol.

So far this has fed us for 3 days and there’s still some left. It was a little pricey but considering the quality and how many meals it’s made it was super worth it.
Back to basics! The other night I decided I wanted Back to basics! The other night I decided I wanted to try a very simple white wine sauce and i found a great recipe from @julieblanner that was like, 5 ingredients and took 15 mins.

Sometimes simple is best. It didn’t take long or much effort and was totally delicious. I went with spinach pasta from @eatalyboston (and some extra from @traderjoes) and added chicken and fresh spinach to make it a little robust.
I’m planning on doing whole30 next month so I’m trying to eat through all my grains and start eliminating food groups in dec so I’m better prepped.
Anyone else doing whole30?
Ok so, if you don’t already have an @instantpoto Ok so, if you don’t already have an @instantpotofficial you NEED to get yourself one. Ignore the fad and embrace how amazing these things are. Among stews and soups, another great use for pressure cookers is with Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani). It’s actually decently easy to put together and the pressure makes the chicken just meltingly tender. It’s become a staple in our cooking rotation.
What are your non-traditional favorite #instantpot meals?
Excited to have a delicious breakfast at @pariscre Excited to have a delicious breakfast at @pariscreperie today! One of the few perks of working retail is ya omg weekdays off where the place isn’t totally packed.
I’ve yet to have a bad item off the menu but in all honesty i always get the Lumber Jaques and rarely stray. This is breakfast and lunch so the large portion is perfect. It’s so damn good, and they servir it with real maple syrup!

Yummmm.
